Primary and Secondary Focuses


Primary focus:  Refraining young people from joining gangs in those communities which are more vulnerable to gangs.


  • Community Awareness – training and workshops to educate people about gangs and gang culture.


  • Conditions – creating more partnerships that can help in the reduction of those circumstances or conditions that contribute to promoting gang culture. 


  • Reporting – Streamline mechanism which is focused on facilitating communities to report any gang-related activity and crimes.


  • Community Service – creating a one-stop-shop that is focused on providing holistic support and health services.


Secondary:  Mainly focusing on youth between the ages of 7-14 who are highly vulnerable to joining gangs.



  • Early Education – focusing on youth before and after promotion's transitional periods.


  • Tutoring – collectively or individually tutoring sessions mainly focusing on academic affairs and learning strategies.


  • Mentoring – mentoring small groups or individuals about achievements or goal setting.


  • Programming –pre and post-school activities aiming at social, emotional, and physical development.


  • Recreation – activities focusing on incorporating and aiming at social community services.
