Well, I was once being interrogated for possible corruption. When the interrogation started, I was ordered to make no public contact as I was reassigned. Technically, I was relieved from my duty on a temporary basis which was devastating for me.
This went on for two weeks, and I thought I am having vertigo (a medical/psychological disorder). I visited a doctor there weren't any medical issues. Then, I had to consult a psychiatrist because it was compulsory from the department.
After listening to me, this is what the psychiatrist said, “I'm aware of your issue. You've kept your rage hidden. You're always irritated because you keep saying negative things to yourself over and over.”
So technically, it was me doing harm to myself, and this is something we do without even realizing it. The psychiatrist said, “That is something you must learn to stop. Whenever u feel your mind is starting to say bad things to yourself, stop it right there.” Then, he just hit his head with his hand to shake his head a little and told me to do the same.
Actually, he wanted to say; you need to shake your head a little, which I did, and it worked for me. There is a "Mr. Negative" in all our heads and we need to take care of it because it plants the seeds of negativity in your head. If you fail to control it, it starts consuming you, and ultimately, you become sick; physically, emotionally, and mentally.
