A gang will have a stronger reputation if he/she is more vicious, brutal, and fearless as these things are directly proportional to each other in gangs. Reputation is just like the backbone of any gang culture. Gangsters would do anything to enhance their reputation.
Revenge or retaliation is a famous part of gang culture as it affects their reputation. If a gang member is beaten by the rivals, there will be a definite retaliation; otherwise, it will distort the reputation of the gangs. However, gangs retaliate after proper planning.
Gang members and gang expect to be respected within the gang and other gangs as well. If a gang accuses a member of another gang of being disrespectful and the accused members are found guilty, the gang (whose member was accused) will retaliate.
