With time, gangsters learned or improvised as well. They do not carry unnecessary things with them all the time. Therefore it is advised that always watch out for any contraband in the surroundings while making contact with the gangsters. They hide their stuff in cars, wheel wells, benches, buildings, mailboxes, trees, garbage cans, and other similar places. Even if you cannot pin a gang member for finding anything you can still cost them financially if you find drugs or you can save someone if you find a gun. 



Moreover, thorough checking is mandatory. For instance, I was working on a case recently in which a gangster was arrested by me for selling drugs that were found in his truck. I pulled up the car and made the arrest. I came to know that the girlfriend of that gang member came to the tow yard, and she paid a fee to get the car's access. Then she left after removing something behind the stereo of the car. Although I was not sure what it was, but I could tell it was not a legal item.
